Adam Gigandet

Adam Gigandet is a former New York State Government Information Technology CIO with over 30 years’ experience managing Information Technology support and investment planning at all levels. Participating executive leader in the statewide consolidation of over 50 NYS agency IT organizations and their data centers. Director of the DMV modernization, a multi-year initiative involving over 200 agency application systems. Adam brings extensive experience building business and IT capabilities, that include program, project, business analysis, data & analytics, quality assurance, system lifecycle, security, architecture, and budget planning strategies.
As the CIO for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles for 6 years, Adam championed a number of award winning innovative technology solutions that include the expansion of DMV offerings to over 65 services across multiple self-service channels, as well as the foundational single-client master data solution that set the stage for solutions such as the Enhanced Driver License, Real ID License, MyDMV, Electronic Voter Registration, Organ Donor, Traffic Ticket Plead and Pay, and Adventure License.
During the NYS IT transformation Adam directly participated in the planning, and was appointed as one of eight Cluster CIO’s, for the consolidation of 53 State agency IT organizations consisting of over 4,000 IT staff supporting over 5,000 applications across 53 data centers. During this period Adam participated in the establishment of various ITSM and Enterprise Architecture capabilities, as well as continued support for business innovation for multiple agencies. Additionally, within the Cluster organization the establishment of a shared service operating model included the formalization of best-in-class processes and standards supporting PMO/PPM, business analysis, ITSM, data management, BI and analytics, enterprise architecture, quality assurance, security, and IT financial management.
Adam is currently the Vice President of services at Cloud & Things. In addition to an Executive perspective of IT business strategy, Adam brings with him a deep understanding of the public sector technology, contracting and procurement, and business domain landscapes.
