John Norton

Vice President of Customer Success

John Norton has over 30 years of experience in all facets of IT. Currently, Mr. Norton is performing cyber security related work for a large federal agency in Washington D/C. Recently, he was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the New York State Health and Human Services Clusters where he was responsible for providing oversight of IT services, including application development, Customer Relationship Management, security and strategic planning, for all the Health and Human Services agencies within New York State, as well as the NYS Department of Labor. Working closely with the Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services, the agency heads, and their executive teams, as well as Enterprise and Cluster PMO’s, John played a critical role in balancing the cluster’s portfolio to meet the needs of the agencies and the state of NY.

He oversaw the creation of an Enterprise Information Management Division that served the NYS Department of Health, the Office of Mental Health, the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, the Office of Children and Family Services, the Office of Temporary Disability Assistance, and the Department of Labor, where he previously served as Chief Enterprise Architect and the Director of the Project Management Office.

In 2014, Mr. Norton was inducted into the Government Technology IT Hall of Fame. As Acting Deputy Commissioner and CIO at the NYS Office of Mental Health, he was responsible for the IT development, operations, and the Information Security Office (ISO) for 24 inpatient psychiatric hospitals and hundreds of outpatient clinics throughout NY state.
